I believe the Groz brand is Polish and actual pretty well made for the price range. I like Busy Bee for some of their stuff, but have you checked out KBC because they are close to you?

With the parallel being clamped on the top 1/4" or so of the jaws: 'Lift' of movable jaw: ~0.01mm. Movement of top of fixed jaw: ~0.04mm.
